Sonam Kapoor Weight Loss Story

While Sonam was studying theater and arts in Singapore, she gained a considerable amount of weight. At that time, the Punjabi beauty did not intend to join the film industry, and she was not concerned about her weight gain. However, when the renowned film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali offered her the leading role in the 2007-romantic-drama Saawariya, she had to lose those extra kilos to fit the character.

She was guided by her personal trainer and mother, and with their help started following a strict exercise regimen and diet plan. While she avoided having oily and sugary foods, her workout routine involved cardio, power yoga, and swimming, which helped her shed 35 kilos of weight.
